A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Cecelia, a licensed massage therapist and Owner of Lotus Holistic Wellness, practicing here in Mesa for over eight years. Over time, my work has naturally evolved toward a more holistic approach to healing. I truly believe the body is designed to heal itself—when we give it the right environment and support.
That belief is the heart of this blog.

Let’s Talk About Your Nervous System
One of the biggest factors in how we feel every day is our central nervous system.
When it’s constantly overstimulated—deadlines, notifications, stress, go-go-go energy—our body stays in survival mode. The nervous system doesn’t know the difference between a dinosaur chasing us and a work deadline. It just knows: stay alert.
And when we’re always alert, we can’t truly relax or heal.
One of the simplest ways to calm the nervous system (besides massage, of course 😉) is breath-work.
Shallow breathing keeps the body tense. Deep, intentional belly breaths send a signal of safety to the brain. Pair that with affirmations like:
I am safe.I belong.I am worthy.
And healing can begin—right where you are.
